  • Means 'Parrot lizard' 🦜

  • Was named by Henry Fairfield Osborn, the same palaeontologist that named T.Rex and Velociraptors. 

  • Lived across Asia in what we know as China, Mongolia, Siberia, Thailand, and possibly Laos during the Early Cretaceous.

  • Is one of the most studied dinosaurs thanks to the discoveries of many fossils and full skeletons from almost 400 different specimens.
  • Was as tall as 4 ft (1.2 m).
  • Had a beak similar to a parrot, but modern birds don't descend from this kind of dinosaurs (Ornitiscians).
